Hello all,

My name is Anthony Perez, which is sadly one of the most generic Puerto Rican names in history. I’m currently 22-years-old and my life has been shaped thus far by an amalgam of cultures, socioeconomic classes, and professions.

I’ve been everything from a retail stock boy to a waiter to a door-to-door salesman, but my journey into professional employment started when I was 12-years-old. It was at that age that I initially started writing for an independent entertainment portal called Digital Planet. After a year-and-a-half or so there, I began development of my own videogame publication which launched in 2001 as Gaming Nation.

Over the years the site has seen many new names and designs, and at its peak reached traffic levels of 100,000 unique visitors per month. Now known as Gamer 2.0 has had a tumultous history, but will always be dear to my heart even as my involvement with it dwindles.

I started my professional career with an internship at TasteSpace.com, running their online marketing initiatives and utilizing the knowledge I had accumulated while running Gamer 2.0. In my month there, I raised site traffic my 300%. After that, I worked for two years as an intern and then Media Coordinator at Flying Point Media, an online direct marketing agency.

I’m currently interning with Conversation, which is providing tremendous experience and is doing great work.

FIVE-YEAR PLAN

• Become a valuable team member at a great boutique advertising agency doing social media and/or brand advertising.
• Start an entertainment-based web service
• Attend film school
